February Favorites!

Hey this is my first post of the month March and its about the favorite products of previous month.
My monthly favorites for this month are actually those quite similar as Jan favs as I have very limited favorite products and I reach them all the time without hesitation.

So first lets see my face products:

For cleaning/exfoliating my skin I use Nivea Visage face wash(read review) and St.Ives Olive scrub.
I sometimes also mix both of these together and then massage all over face and neck. It makes a great combo.

Secondly I use L'Oreal Hydra Fresh cream(I came to know about this product @ Sara Hassan's blog and tried it:})

Its very hydrating and non greasy. I love using it before applying my face powder.

Next is the face powder I had been loving and using from quite a long time.
Rimmel Stay Matte Face powder
This image has been taken from Google.
Mine doesn't deserve to be shown here as its nearly a loose powder state now=P
Thanks to the loose lid and my reckless handling.

Now lets move onto my eye products. Eyeshadows are not in my normal routine makeup. But mascara and eye liner is a must have for me.
Both products are from Rimmel and also from my Jan favorites list.

Rimmel Extra WOW lash mascara and Rimmel Exaggerate eye defining pencil. I LOVE THEM BOTH and will definitely re purchase them.

Another product is AGAIN from Rimmel =P I love RIMMEL!! I find them to be more affordable as compared to other brands.
Seems Rimmel is paying me for promoting their stuff =P well I bought them all with my Parents' money =P and sometimes mine too.
Anyways its the Match Perfection concealer. I like to use it to hide imperfections sometimes. But not for everyday use(at least for me)

Next is a lipstick from Maybelline. Its very old but I love the shade and the formula.Perfect to use in winters as its very moisturizing and has more of a balm-ish texture.
The shade is called Raisin and sadly Maybelline has discontinued this line of lippies.

And here is the swatch:

Above mentioned products =P

Lastly my most favorite perfume and body spray by ADIDAS. Pure Lightness for women.

Thats all. I hope you like it. Thank you for reading.

What is your all time favorite product?

Back!!! With January Favorites.

Hello!! I am done with my exams and practicals and im FREE now! =) I had missed my blog tremendously and thought of getting back in track by sharing what i have been using the whole month!! This is the first time I am doing monthly favorites and hope to post them every month through out the year=) Anyways lets get started! Here's a pic of all the products:

OK, so those are the products together...I tried to keep the list as minimal as possible. Lets have a closer look at these....

First of all are my Most favorite eye products:

Rimmel Exaggerate eye definer in Noir, Rimmel Extra WOW lash(read review here) and the most raved product Maybelline Eye Studio Gel eye liner.

Next are the two nail paints I had been wearing alot in winter and are absolute gorgeous shades...

Golden Rose Nail lacquer # 65 (review & swatch) and Rimmel Lycra Pro in Chic Cherry (see swatch here)

Next are my face products:
My all time favorite blush by Maybelline

This is an eye shadow duo by Rimmel London and its called Special Eyes Duo Eye Shadow in Shade # 421 called Desert. I just LOVE it. And I have never used it on eyes but I like to use it on my cheeks. The gold shade looks beautiful on the apples of my cheeks as a highlighter where as the brown contours my cheekbones beautifully. I have never liked how contouring made my face look before I tried this. I believe this sheer brown shade makes a perfect contouring shade for my complexion.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed powder. Its my absolute must have face product and I use it daily.
The image has been taken from Google as mine has hit the pan and worse than that the product has been shattered to a thousand pieces so didn't wanted to show up here =P
I wish Rimmel comes out with an improved version of this product containing SPF and a better packaging with reliable lid! o O

Lets have a look at my fave skin care products:

-Vaseline petroleum jelly...I love it and use it everyday before going to bed and prior applying my lipstick. I have even got a pocket size Vaseline as you can see in the pic. I carry it around in my purse everywhere.

-Then I have Ponds Moisturizing Cold cream which I use at night.

-Vaseline Healthy Hand and Nail Lotion...one of my winter must haves(review coming sooon!)

-Nivea Visage Gentle Face Wash(read review here)

-St. Ives Moisturizing Olive Scrub

-Dove Cream Oil Cocoa Butter Shower cream.

-I would also like to share a random product I use for my eye brows and its not included in the picture above.

It is a palette from a Canadian make up brand with very subtle, matte shades. I use only one shade from it. The brown (with a star) is the shade I use to fill in my brows. Its a very soft brown.

Lastly I would like to share my New favorite perfume with you guys. I bought this in December and have been using it regularly when going out. I just love the refreshing smell which I cannot describe =P (im a failure at describing the smells...they are just so abstract..lol)

Its the Adidas Pure Lightness. I got the body spray from Agha's and the perfume from Imtiaz. Just simply love 'em!

uuhhhh! I think its a very long post! But no worries...posting after about 2 months =P

Hope you like it and I didn't bore you guys.
Planning to post more stuff this month to fill in the gap...
Stay tuned for more reviews and Notds. I have a lot of pending posts!
Till then,
TC,
Xoxo.

NOTD! Rimmel Chic Cherry

Purple is one of my favorite colors and i love painting my nails purple. Once at Sara Hassan's blog i loved her notd featuring Chic Cherry by Rimmel. I loved that shade at the first sight and wanted to grab one of my own. I was at ease that Rimmel is easily available in our country so i could buy one without any hassle but to my disappointment the Chic Cherry shade didn't yet arrive in Pakistan although there were other shades from the Lycra pro range.
But i was lucky enough that Rimmel sent me some samples to test and there in the package was this baby lying!!!!! what a pleasure for me =))
So I thought of sharing a Notd of my current favorite nail polish on my blog. Hope you will like the gorgeous purple.

Brand: Rimmel London ( Lycra Pro )
Shade: Chic Cherry (a stunning dark purple with pink specks of shimmer)
Price: Rs 500-600 in Pakistan
Availability: Easily available in superstores which sell Rimmel stuff.
Finish: Shimmery.
Staying Power: Rimmel's claim up to 10 days. As i showed the pic it started chipping off from the corners the 4th day. I haven't actually worn it for that long so couldn't tell exactly.
Formula: Very manageable. Is highly pigmented and the maxi brush gives full application in just single stroke which is smooth, even and streak free.

I love this shade and is looking forward to wear it more in winter season.

REVIEW -- Rimmel Extra WOW Lash Mascara!

Hey!
Here's a quick review of the Rimmel Extra WOW lash mascara.

Rimmel claims:
EXTRA WOW LASH MASCARA
OVER SIZED VOLUME BUILDING BRUSH EASILY CREATES SOFT TO DRAMATIC LOOKS

Extra WOW Lash mascara, the new volume and lash building mascara with a 50% larger brush for WOW volume. The super sized brush makes it easy to build soft to dramatic look with visible progressive volume up to 12X.Lash building formula for highly defined lashes. No clumping.

My thoughts???
- The wand is great. Its tapered at the bottom so you could actually get hold of the inner and lower lashes with ease! =)
- It doesnt clump. Its a lash building mascara so the more coats you apply the more volume you get WITHOUT any clumps!

- Doesnt flake off-which is great!
- Dries quickly.
- Gives both Volume and length =))
- Doesnt feel heavy! After applying 3 coats my lashes were soft- it didnt feel CRISPY like other mascaras!

(3 coats)

 - Enables you to customize your look from soft to dramatic.

- Enriched with vitamins and conditioning agents.
- NO PANDA EYES! One thing which amazed me was tht although its not waterproof it didnt smudge or     smear. Trust me i had this on and i stepped in heavy rain and there was not a single sign of racoon eyes.
- Easily available in stores across Pakistan. (spotted at Chase Value Centre)

The ONLY bad thing is that its available only in 1 shade- extreme black.

In short, i simply love this mascara.

Have you tried this mascara?
What do you think about it?

REVIEW -- New Rimmel Vinyl 'MAX' Lip Gloss!

Hello everyone reading this! This is my FIRST review of any product ever!! I'm gonna give my honest opinions. Well, I've been sent this Rimmel's new invention as a sample so I thought it would be a great idea to review it.
Vinyl Max Lip Gloss!!! You must be familiar with the regular Vinyl lipgloss. The NEW version of it is something massive and voluptuous!!! I received shade number 121 - EXCESS- which is a pretty shimmery pink, great for both day and night.

Rimmel claims: Full coverage, high gloss-shine.

For louder, bigger, bolder and braver pouts, you’ve come to the right place. Discover a gloss that keeps lips soft and smooth, whilst magnifying and intensifying volume and colour.

My Opinions:
well, first lets talk about the packaging. It comes in a clear tube which is narrow at the bottom and maximizes at the top. The wand is HUGE!!! My first reaction was "OMG!!! This
wand is SOOO giant!" LOL. It helps to aplly the product easily in just single swipe.

(Left-wand of ordinary gloss, Right-wand of Rimmel vinyl max gloss)

The formula is great as its not sticky or goopy like other glosses. After applying i felt a slight tingling and cooling sensation, which vanished in a few minutes. Its super shimmery- not chunky glitter but gorgeous shimmer! It has a sweet vanilla-ish smell too =) ( plus point for all vanilla lovers!)

The lasting power is great as well. It stayed on for a good 3 hours on me. IMAGINE! a gloss with a good staying power!  i had lunch and tea with this gloss on!
(Rimmel vinyl Max gloss in Excess- wore it alone, gives great colour pay off when applied on  any lipstick too!)

It comes in a variety of shades ranging from subtles to loud shades! The price is around $ 8, and these will be launched pretty soon in Pakistan! =)

Hope you enjoyed reading!

Whats your favourite lip gloss brand?? Have you tried any Rimmel lip gloss?
